Former CBS Reporter Agrees: Mainstream Media Manipulated, Controlled by Establishment

Growing movement to sway public opinion through social media and even Wikipedia

Speaking from direct experience, and with refreshing honesty, a former CBS correspondent openly confirmed that the mainstream media is being covertly manipulated by well-financed political forces who are also trying to sway public opinion through social media and by editing Wikipedia articles.

Sharyl Attkisson, who also served as a correspondent with CNN, suggested that real investigative journalism is disappearing in mainstream media due to the current editorial trend to push stories in an unnatural direction in order to serve establishment agendas.

“What I hope to do with ‘Stonewalled’ [her book], is explain to the public how images that they see every day – not just on the news, but including in the news – but on social media; on television; on billboards – how these images are manipulated in covert and surreptitious ways by political forces and financially-backed forces that they have no idea about,” she told The Daily Signal. “If you can become savvy to this manipulation, and sometimes, outright propaganda, you can learn to recognize it and, sort of, filter through it – which, I think, helps people make up their own mind about what’s really going on in the world.”

Attkisson also indicated that there’s a growing movement inside Washington D.C. to affect public opinion outside of direct lobbying.

“Now, there’s a whole industry set up around manipulating public opinion or swaying public opinion in other ways – through social media; maybe, setting up blind accounts or accounts through pseudonyms; through editing Wikipedia in certain ways; through posting on Twitter and Facebook,” she stated. “There all kinds of ways that people’s opinions are being shaped through forces that they don’t know are behind the shaping of those opinions, and I really think it’s important that people know who’s behind the efforts.”

And this movement is expanding at a breakneck speed. Just a few months ago, for example, social media giant Facebook began offering “public education ad space” with content written by anti-gun groups targeted at users interested in firearm-related content.

Fortunately, in contrast to this rising propaganda, an increasing number of former mainstream journalists such as Attkisson are now heading to alternative media where investigative stories, such as how the federal government used extremely premature babies in a dangerous study, won’t be buried in favor of false narratives intended to paint the Obama administration – and the over 500 federal bureaucracies which operate with little oversight – in a positive light.

Although it’s been well-documented that the mainstream media has practically been a government mouthpiece since at least the early 1950s, when the CIA’s Operation Mockingbird began, it is refreshing and revealing to see that a former network correspondent is not only openly talking about media control, but she also views the alternative media as the solution to the controlled press that is rapidly losing influence.

“More Americans than ever are losing faith in the establishment-controlled media and are seeking out alternative sources of information,” Michael Snyder of the Economic Collapse Blog wrote. “Is this a trend that the big media companies are going to be able to reverse at some point?”

Not likely.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) appeared on CBS Face the Nation on Sunday morning and was met with a barrage of questions from host Bob Schieffer about his involvement in the government shutdown. Apart from being the victim of Schieffer’s accusations that the Tea Party senator was to blame for the shutdown, it also appears that Mr. Cruz was the victim of editing by CBS.

Based on video from Senator Cruz’s YouTube page and what aired on today’s Face the Nation broadcast, the senator’s comments surrounding President Obama’s “abuse of power” were edited from the program. Instead what aired was a segment that ignored many of the senator’s complaints directed at President Obama. [See the aired and unaired videos below.]

In the video that aired on CBS, the interview between Schieffer and Cruz ended with the following back and forth:

BOB SCHIEFFER: Will you run for president?

SEN. TED CRUZ: Well, look, my focus is on the challenges facing this country right now (UNINTEL) senate. My focus, for example, is on the abuse of power from the president. Let’s take something like the IRS scandal–

BOB SCHIEFFER: So, I’ll take that as a yes or a no.

SEN. TED CRUZ: Eight months ago–

BOB SCHIEFFER: Or still thinking about it.

SEN. TED CRUZ: Well, what you can take that as, is that my focus is standing and fighting right now in the senate to bring back jobs and economic growth. Economic growth is my number one priority…

BOB SCHIEFFER: Thank you, so much, for joining us and we’ll talk to you again.

However, as Senator Cruz’s YouTube channel showed, the Texas senator had extensive commentary on President Obama that mysteriously did not make it to air, just two days before the president’s State of the Union address:

SCHIEFFER: “Will you run for President?”

CRUZ: “My focus is on the abuse of power of this President. Let’s take something like the IRS scandal-“

SCHIEFFER: “Do I take that as a yes or a no?”

CRUZ: “What you can take is that my focus is standing and fighting right now in the Senate to bring back jobs and economic growth. Let me tell you something that is deeply concerning—the abuse of power from this Administration. We’ve seen multiple filmmakers prosecuted and the government’s gone after them. Whether it’s the poor fellow that did the film that the President blamed Benghazi and the terrorist attacks on, turns out that wasn’t the reason for the attack but the Administration went and put that poor fellow in jail on unrelated charges. Just this week it was broken that Dinesh D’Souza, who did a very big movie criticizing the president, is now being prosecuted by this Administration.”

SCHIEFFER: “Senator-“

CRUZ: “Can you image the reaction if the Bush Administration had went, gone and prosecuted Michael Moore and Alec Baldwin and Sean Penn?”

SCHIEFFER: Senator–

CRUZ: It should trouble everyone the government uses government power and the IRS in particular to target their enemies and you are talking a new minutes to Chuck Schumer—“

SCHIEFFER: “We are going to leave this for another day, senator. Thank you for joining us and we’ll talk to you again.”

Now it is certainly plausible that CBS edited out the ending of the Cruz interview for time, however given that Cruz’s comments were extremely critical of the president and came just two days before an embattled President Obama gives his State of the Union speech, the timing of such editing is highly inappropriate and unusual.

CBS should explain why it felt it appropriate to edit out a high profile senator accusing the President of the United States of targeting his politcal enemies. These are strong accusations leveled at the president, and CBS’s viewers deserve to hear them, yet strangely they were not.

CNN caught red handed covering up CDC medical genocide of African-American babies

(NaturalNews) While CNN salivates over the news potential of an African-American teen being shot by a police officer, the network deliberately censors any news of the systematic medical abuse of African-American children by the CDC and the vaccine industry. That's the startling revelation which has now surfaced from recent events.

Following the explosive story of a key CDC scientist and whistleblower going public with his admission that the CDC committed scientific fraud to bury the truth about MMR vaccines causing autism, CNN has twice censored citizen journalists who posted well-cited stories on CNN's iReport website.

CNN has been aggressively monitoring its own website to commit content suppression actions as rapidly as possible, making sure any truthful reporting about the CDC, MMR vaccines and autism gets deleted as quickly as possible.

The first story posted on CNN's iReport site stayed up for 19 hours before CNN censors noticed it and ordered it deleted. By that time, it had racked up 17,000 shares and was starting to go viral. The author of that story contacted The Truth Barrier and explained how CNN content censors lied:

I wrote the CNN iReport. The producer contacted me and wanted to know how I know what I know. I gave her contact info for Hooker, and also for Thompson's attorney. I took her through the entire Hooker/Thompson timeline of events. I told her what else is coming soon. The producer said she was calling Hooker right away and that if they verified the story they’d put it back up. Hooker said they never called. The story is still down.

The second story was removed far more quickly, lasting just two hours before it too was censored. The story "had garnered 20,000 views and 5,000 shares, before it was deleted," reports TruthBarrier.com.

CNN restores the second story with obvious intention of removing it again

After a wave of public outrage at CNN's obvious censorship of this historical story involving the medical abuse of black babies, CNN reluctantly restored the second story, which now has over 15,000 social media shares. But CNN added a note to the story, stating, "CNN has reached out to the CDC for comment and is working to confirm the claims in this iReport."

What this means is that CNN will simply wait for a reply from the CDC which will obviously say, "These claims are false" for the simple reason that the CDC is the group which committed the criminal fraud in the first place! For CNN to ask the CDC whether it lied is like asking 100 prison inmates whether any of them are guilty.

Once the CDC responds to CNN with yet more lies, CNN will of course use that fabricated response to pull the story down yet again.

This is what happens when the mainstream media functions as nothing more than a band of Big Pharma media puppets. They ask no real questions; they investigate nothing that matters; and they trust the "official" word of the CDC even when it's the CDC that has committed this outrageous act of scientific fraud that harms black children in the first place.

Consider the outrageousness of CNN's censorship of this systematical medical abuse of African-American children

The fact that the CDC knew ten years ago that MMR vaccines caused a 340% increase in autism in young African-American babies is one of the biggest stories in medical history.

The fact that the CDC actively and knowingly committed scientific fraud to cover up this fact calls into question the entire credibility of both the CDC and the vaccine industry -- both of which have been steeped in lies and criminality for decades.

The fact that CNN declared a site-wide media blackout on the CDC cover-up story is a true turning point in the history of media; a point where the corporate-run "mainstream media" publicly admits it has no interest in reporting anything other than corporate-sponsored lies and propaganda. This is the day when America learned that CNN will deliberately censor the biggest story in the history of "racist medicine" and "vaccine violence" by conspiring with the CDC and Big Pharma to pretend this story never happened.

CNN's reputation is worse than merely in shambles over this cover-up... it has self destructed. There is no reason to ever trust CNN again on ANY story. Because it's not just the stories CNN reports that you can't trust... it's the stories the network refuses to report that are even more important.

As CNN has demonstrated itself, it exists today as nothing more than a propaganda mouthpiece with a racist, eugenics agenda to harm as many black babies as possible while censoring all citizen journalists who attempt to report the truth about this crime against humanity.

By covering up this story, CNN is complicit in the genocidal agenda of the CDC which actively conspired to prevent the African-American community from learning the truth about MMR vaccines and autism. Today, CNN's message to the world is essentially, "When black babies are being maimed and killed by bad medicine, we will actively suppress all reporting on the story, making sure even more black babies are destroyed in the name of vaccine profits."

CNN founder Ted Turner, a very vocal fan of human depopulation, would be proud. What better way to accomplish the culling of human babies than to call it "immunization" and get everybody to line up and pay for it?
